Please be advised that city residents are responsible for the timely upkeep and maintenance of their lawns. Any growth of grass or weeds over 8 inches in height is in violation of city ordinance and will result in mowing, fees and/or ticketing.

Smoke-Free Law Public Act 188: The law requires all workplaces and food service establishments to provide a smoke-free environment. Compliance of this law is self enforcing, however to ensure compliance and to protect the integrity of the law, Local Health Departments are assigned sole enforcement responsibility. Bagged Leaf and Brush Pick: City wide pick up - last full week each month. Alternate weeks, contact the Department of Public Works by noon on Thursday to request Friday pick up.
