HOURS OF OPERATION

Tips For Utilizing Greenville Transit

1. Place call for service one-half hour in advance.
2. If you cannot make your schedule pick-up please call and cancel your request for service.
3. Be ready for your pick-up. The bus will wait no more than three minutes.
4. Drivers of the bus are not permitted to assist patrons to the bus however; they will assist boarding the bus.
5. The bus makes several stops enroute so plan for a slightly longer ride.
6. Please limit the number of carry on packages; passengers are responsible for carrying and loading their own packages.
7. During heavy snowfall the buses will run on cleared roads only.
8. For everyone’s comfort, smoking, eating and drinking is not allowed on the bus.
9. Exact change is required. Drivers cannot make change.
10. Greenville Transit System tokens are available at City Hall and the Transit Garage.

Explanation of the request: To continue to provide modern transit buses to provide a means of transportation to all who request it and those without a personal vehicle or who cannot drive.  These buses will be equipped with a wheel chair lift that will provide easy access for wheel chair riders.  We believe that this service is a valuable use of taxpayer funds.
