City and Chamber join forces to launch a new website...
With a financial boost from AT&T's "Collaboration thru Technology" grant program, the City of Greenville and the Chamber have done something that they've been thinking about for a long time. They have launched a true, comprehensive community website.
"Our website visitors don't care whether it's the Chamber or the City that is coordinating an event or providing a service. They just need the information." says Candy Kerschen, Executive Director for the Chamber. "Now they don't need to know whose site to visit to get what they need. It's a much more efficient way to serve and inform our residents, business owners, and visitors,"
"Rod Middleton, owner of Information Matters, guided us through the process, starting with helping us select and purchased a new website software. He has held training sessions for City and Chamber staff to learn how to use all of the modules available to us" Says Kris Berry, Director of the Greenville Recreation & Parks Department. "It continues to be a learning process, but we're excited about all that we will be able to do with this".
