Press Release:
Downtown Parking for the Winter Season
With winter and snowfall rapidly approaching, the Greenville Department of Public Safety is reminding residents of the parking enforcement ordinances for the winter season.
Downtown parking lots are marked where parking is permitted on a daily basis or where overnight parking is not permitted at any time. Vehicle owners are asked to check the entrance to each parking area and review the rules regarding parking in each specific lot to ensure vehicles are not ticketed or towed during snowfall.
Furthermore, parking on Greenville city streets between 2AM – 5AM is prohibited year round. In the
event of accumulating snowfall, vehicles parked on the roadway may be towed during the early morning hours to allow plow trucks to clear city streets.
If you have questions about specific parking locations or regulations, contact a Public Safety Officer at the Greenville Department of Public Safety any time. On-duty officers will be more than happy to assist you with your questions and assist you with parking inquiries.
