A Generous Community.

Philanthropy is second nature in the Greenville area.  As evidence of this, we benefit from four local foundations:

Greenville Area Community Foundation (GACF)  A community foundation with endowed assets over $10 million. Started in 1989, the GACF has funded areas of need including: education, health care, recreation, arts & culture, youth, economic development, and more. The Greenville Area Community Foundation is “For Good…For Ever!” (616) 754-2640.

Education Foundation of Greenville (EFG) The EFG funds educational grant requests and summer camp scholarships for Greenville Public Schools.  It currently spends a portion of its assets annually. They have two endowed funds:  EFG Performing Arts Fund and EFG Academic Enhancement Fund.  For more information call Wendy Baty, Executive Director at (616) 225-1000 ext. 8302 or Sharon Hattenbach at (616) 754-3686.

Spectrum Health United Memorial Foundation
Founded in 1995, supports our hospital by assisting with staff education, patient comfort and capital and technology needs. Gifts can be endowed or directed to a particular cause of the donor’s choice. For more information, call (616) 754-4341, ext 2345. On their website, click on “Ways to Give”.

Montcalm Community College Foundation  Supports MCC programs and services. The foundation endows scholarships and provides funding for building initiatives and education enhancements.
