Our History.
On March 1, 1924, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce was formed from the Greenville Development Association. The Chamber’s first officers included J.E. Wyckoff as President; John Christensen as Vice President; A.M. Packard as Secretary; and Peter Van Deinse as Treasurer.
Officially incorporated on March 1, 1947, The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce is the only active, fully-staffed Chamber of Commerce in Montcalm County. The Chamber has played a role in our business community ever since.
The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit group that is dedicated to developing local economic growth and community presence. It revolves around the premise that business can help drive businesses. We achieve this goal through a multitude of outlets: membership services, business and networking events, marketing communication, community involvement and more.
