Community Awards

Each year the Chamber recognizes outstanding businesses and distinguished citizens who have made significant, positive impacts on our community by honoring them at our Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner. For a history of our distinguished honorees, click HERE
The following is a brief description of the criteria for each award:

Marian E. Kemp - Outstanding Citizen Award.  This person must have given significant contributions in time and effort to other persons, other businesses, and those less fortunate of the Greenville area community, which efforts have mainly been unrecognized.

Small Business Person of the Year Award.  This business owner must have a substantiated history as an established, successful business (Five year minimum),with an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community oriented projects.

COGG - Spirit of Collaboration Award.  This individual or organization not only talks about collaboration, but through their actions reflects a willingness to work with others “for the good of the community”.

Young Professional of the Year Award. This individual must be 18-40 years of age  and demonstrate leadership accomplishments by pursuing excellence in their profession (of 1 year or more), and contribute time and talent in service to the community.
